Pakistan Relations

The Relationships of Pakistan With its Neighbouring Countries are better ties with them Here i am going to discussing some general information about the relationships of Pakistan with these countries:-

Pakistan Relations With China :-

1. People's Republic of China is a great neighbour of Pakistan whose border touch the northern regions of Pakistan. After her birth in 1949. Pakistan immediacy recognized her. The Pakistan China friendly relations start in 1954-955, both countries were tied with each other. Their friendship was based on the sincere emotions of the people.

A sincere harmony developed between two nations. China was always proved herself to be a dependable friend in war and peace.

2. Pakistan extender full support to China for making her permanent member of Security Council.

3. Pakistan provided every possible political,diplomatic and moral support to china on her war with India.

4. Also China Gave huge to Pakistan In her wars with India

5. After the atomic blast by India in 1974, China and Pakistan adopted similar nuclear policy both emphasized that the Indian ocean should be decleared a nuclear-free zone. Both countries signed the nuclear pact n 1986 and china extended financial and technical co operations.

6. The 900 km long silk route was constructed with the help of China which became a symbol and glowing example of Pakistan China relationships . the route is called the Karakoram Highway.


Pakistan Relations With India:-

1. The main dispute between Pakistan and India is Kashmir issue, without its solution the relations cannot be improved. Better ties can be established between both countries in all the fields if it is resolved. Pakistan has always showed a positive attitude but India is not serious about resolving the issue.

2. for resolving the water issue the Indus waster treaty was signed between India and Pakistan in 1960 is still violating this treaty. the 'Simla Pact' was signed by both the leaders after the war of 1971 where it was agreed that their differences would be resolved through discussions.

3. Both countries make efforts to increase co operation of SAARC since 1985 there appeased no satisfaction result. The Prime Ministers of both countries got a chance to meet at the SAARC conference in 1988 and a pact was signed to restrict each other from attacking on their nuclear sites.

4. Some betterment relationships appeared in Pakistan and India in 1990.  Mutual trade and travelling facilities increased but no effect can be fruitful with out the solution of Kashmir issue.

5. Agra conference was held between Pakistan President and the Prime Minister of India from 14th of July 2001. the three days dialogues in the conference proved unsuccessful.

6. In SAARC conference held on Jan 2004, in Islamabad, were both the leaders agreed and dialogues should be continued.


Pakistan Relations With Iran:-

1. Iran was the first country to recognize Pakistan in 1947. Iran and Pakistan are Islamic, Asian and neighbouring countries. Both countries are linked deeply with cultural, Religious and historical Relations.

2. The prime minister of Pakistan visited Iran in 1949. Shah of Iran also made a return visit to Pakistan in 1950 and trading contacts were established. The trading starts between both countries with each other And a defence treaty CENTO brought both countries close to each other.

3. Iran always give full support to Pakistan on Kashmir issue and praised its stance. It has always supported the right self   determination of the people of Kashmir. It has always openly opposed the atrocities of Indian army against Kashmir freedom fighters.

4. Iran stood with Pakistan in 1965 and 1971 wars. Its political, moral economic and miltary aid was very encouraging for Pakistan.

5. After the Islamic revolution in 1979, Pakistan had recognised the new government in Iran and extended cooperation in every field.

6. The president of Pakistan visited Iran in 2000 it was decided to enhance cooperation in different fields. Pakistan and Iran have agreed to lay gas pipelines from Iran to Pakistan. the work is in progress.


Pakistan relations with Afghanistan:-

1. Afghanistan is Pakistan's neighbour country. Both have old religious, historical, cultural, racial and geographical relations.

2. Pakistan had no pleasant relations with Afghanistan in the beginning. Afghanistan recognized Pakistan very late and diplomatic relations were developed in Feb 1948

3. Foreign secretary Government of India, Sir Durand, and Afghan King, Ameer Abdul Rahman, signed and agreed for the permanent solution of border issue in 1893. it finalized to border lines. Afghanistan accepted Durand line as their international border line.

4. Afghanistan is a land locked country. it does not have any access to the sea. Afghanistan was facing difficulty in establishing trade relations with other countries here Pakistan helped her and gave them permission to transport goods from and to the sea port of Karachi.

5. The tragedy of the world trade center provided America an exccuse for attacking Afghanistan on 11th Sep 2001. The Taliban government was removed and a new government and gave financial aid for the reconstruction of Afghanistan.
